A ripe, smooth and full-bodied red from this superb vintage. Non-chapitalized and matured in barrique oak barrels. Smokey, fruity aromatics. Robust blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry fruit palate with ample tannin. Quite complex. Regent produces excellent fruit for red wine enabling us to produce a hot climate style of red in our cool northerly climate. We hand pick only the best bunches for this red and then de-stalk and crush and ferment 'on-the-pulp' for 10 days. 12% vol. 75cl bottle.
