This is a special edition wine to celebrate one of the highest natural grape sugar levels ever recorded in England and Sedlescombe – a result of the exceptionally dry and warm late summer weather of 2016.
With a natural alcohol level in the grapes of between 13.4 and 15% vol alc. this wine has an elegant character with the full-on smooth sweetness that you would expect in a dessert wine. However, this Solaris variety retains its acid even when achieving such high levels of ripeness leaving the wine superbly balanced by exquisite fruity acidity. Quite complex.
Great with cheeses and most after-dinner delights, or enjoy on its own to savour the full flavour.
